Masticate, Fealty, Didactic, Eructation and Aphorism

Five words today: Masticate, Fealty, Didactic, Eructation and Aphorism.


Note: Instead of just 6 sentences I used all of the words in a paragraph instead.


Masticate is a verb that means:
    1. to chew.
    2. to reduce to a pulp by crushing or kneading, as rubber.


Fealty is a noun that means:
    1. Hist.
        a. fidelity to a lord.
        b. the obligation or the engagement to be faithful to a lord, usually sowrm to by a vassal.
    2. fidelity; faithfulness.


Didactic is an adjective that means
    1. intended for instruction; instructive.
    2. inclined to teach or lecture others too much.
    3. teaching or intending to teach a moral lesson.


Eructation is a verb that means
    1. to belch forth, as gas from the stomach.
    2. to emit or issue violently, as matter from a volcano.


Aphorism
    1. a terse saying embodying a general truth, or astute observation.

His verbal eructation of hate was violence incarnate, and Lord Acton’s aphorism was called to mind. Never before had we witnessed in a hearing open to the public such a display of condensation and sneering taunts directed at a senior member of the staff. This man, with minimal experience and even less expertise, gave a pointless, sarcastic, didactic sermon on how his memory was so much sharper than this member of his staff who had decades more experience that he. Everyone knew his tirade was personal and had nothing to do with the issues; instead his goal was to force the resignation of the one person on the staff who he despised the most because that man had the institutional knowledge he lacked and would never be able to obtain. He feared that knowledge. So in this public forum, in front of his staff and the public, where his victim was not allowed to defend himself under the threat of termination, this pompous, ignorant, inept barbarian could attack at will, without any threat of recourse other than a complete and total annihilation of any possible fealty the witnessing staff may have held for the him, the abuser. On that day the employees witnessed their division head masticated to a measly pulp by someone who considered himself a god among men. But everyone saw this arrogant political appointee for what he was - just a bully who had never, and would never, grow up.
