The first word is capricious which is an adjective which means subject to, led by, or indicative of caprice or whim; erratic.
The second word is iota which means a very small quantity or degree.

All day, in the intersection in front of our house, I have watched drivers get stuck in the heavy snow of unplowed roads as they try to make the turn that leads up the hill. It is obvious that these drivers do not have even an iota of experience for driving in the snow. To handle a vehicle in such conditions one can be neither tentative or capricious. You must choose your course, maintain a steady pace, and never, ever, stop. To me, driving in heavy snow has always seemed analogous to reaching goals in life. Don't ever stop, for if you do, you will probably end up spinning your wheels, going nowhere, and may even have to back up, before you are able to continue on up the hill.
